Default my weekly problem: this week - white smoke n oil

alright guys, to me it seems like god enjoys messing with me and giving me a problem every week just to keep me on my toes. So starting this morning, i noticed whenever i leave from a dead stop and accelerate normally, i leave a little bit of white smoke from where i started. Also, when i accelerate normally i can see a little bit of smoke sometimes, but when i get on it at WOT i leave a light trail of white smoke. So im guessing im burning oil, but it doesnt seem like anything major because there is no noticeable decrease in performance at all, so i dont think it could be broken ringlands, or could it? any help guys? thanks.

Blue smoke is oil no white.

White is coolant or just condensation. Since it is cold out it is prob condensation. Also are you loosing coolant?

I was thinking probably condensation as well. Check coolant levels like stated above.

it seems like its a bluish white smoke, and it smells like burning oil. im thinking there might be a seal in the turbo thats gone bad, so its sucking up some oil and burning it, because if it was a bad ringland or so i would notice a loss in performance, and its still running strong. Im goin up to the shop i work at in the early a.m. and running a leakdown test to make sure its not the motor n then checking out the turbo and will rebuild it if theres a bad seal.

what size feed line are u using? if ur using dash 4 or bigger fo sho its the feed line. i had same prob on my car i was using dash 4 and it was to big and would poor oil into the turbo and would sart to seep into the exhaust.but with the dash three u would have higher pressure of oil to enter through the feed line but less of it.fixed it right up.

Ya Im running a 3an feed line with a very small fitting feeding the feed line so my turbo doesnt gets huge ammounts of pressure (turbo doesnt need anymore than 10psi and your car at WOT will make like 70)

To much pressure at your seals and some oil will defientely leak through if it doesnt eventually blow your seals

DO you happen to know your oil pressure and feed line size?

by the way, does any one know if the CP Pistons for the B16A w/ 81mm bore and 9-1 CR are basically stock specs? (part number SC7000). Also will they hook up to the stock Rods without any problem? thanks.

lol ahahaha

"Its running great, no loss in power"

Dont expect this tear down to go smoothly, ringlands might have broken possibly hurt some valves in Cyl4

Good luck though

yeah thats the weird thing, there was no noticeable loss in power, even with this happening.... but whatever.

I have the same issue you have, but my compression is around 210-215. I have yet to do a leakdown...

It's funny because when I have the exhaust system connected when driving on the street I get the white smoke..., but when I'm at the track running open header NO white smoke. Car runs strong either way. The smoke just bugs me! It's not normal...

i hade the same problem.

my return line wasnt flowing enough. so i stepped up to a steal braided 12an 3/4 hose and that fixed the problem, after the fact of blowing the seals out of my old t3/t4E turbo, so i got a cheap t/3 off ebay. works awesome now. no smoke.
