is there a power diffrence, does it rev higher,more torgue,anything noticeably diffrent, details please...........

a1 = obd0, cable trans, lower compression, little less power than a2
a2 = obd1, hydro trans, higher comp, little more power than a1

there are other little differences, like mounts and such... but those are the basics.

well i have a swap in my crx right now ls motor,b16 tranny, hasport mounts and linkage,dc sport exhaust,and intake but i hate not haveing vtec, and i really dont want to
build ls/vtec, so what do u think i should do

drop in a vtec motor then... get a b18c if you want to stay around 1.8L

Well it looks like you've answered your own question, you don't want to do LS/VTEC nor want to spend the extra cash for a GSR, so get the b16a if you want VTEC, its not going to be faster really.

b16a2 are 160hp not 170

jdm b16a sir2 are 170hp and the jdm b16a xsi too

I'll be ordering the B16A1 second generation motor soon (92-93 Integra XSi motor). It has 170Hp 113Trq 10.4 Compression (JDM OBD I) and also it is a cable tranny.
