i was told not to use a platinum but to use a ngk copper plug and run them colder. he used a ngk BCPR7ES-11 and gap at .30 on his gsr turbo but wasent sure what to use for mine, should i do the same?

You normally run one range colder for each 100 HP, since you're going to be in the 40-50 HP range, run a stock heat range plug. Also, the stock gap should be ok as well. I would personally run NGK R's.
