is it just me or is every 1st gen Jdm b16a white plug motor faster then the american b16a that came in the del sol and the 99-2000 civic si. they both have the same amount of power 160 hp and same torque. why is the jdm seems like the run stronger why is this please let me know thanks

Dude, wtf are you taking about?
He's asking why does it seem like the 1st gen seems faster than the a3 and a2.

 

To be honest those motors, 1st gen b16a and usdm ones, are almost the same. I think it has to do more with what is bolted on them like trannies and ecu maps. Of course this would be in the same car. If your talking b16a in an ef and b16a in si's or del sol's then that is a big diffrence. That would be like saying the jdm 1st gen b16a is better than a usdm gs-r cause the swapped crx should beat a usdm gs-r any day of the week.

What exactly are you trying to say here?

 

think of the car the engine is bolted into though. you have a crx that is around 2000lbs depending on trim level with 160 hp, vs. a heavier del sol with 160 hp, vs a still heavier 1999 civic si with 160hp, and the laws of physics dictate that the crx will be faster, simply because of horsepower to weight ratio is quite different. granted there are many more factors involved, suspension, transmission choice.. etc etc etc.. but in the end, whoever weighs the least with the most horsepower who can transfer it to the ground effectively wins.. and that is why the crx seems faster.

 

where are you getting examples of the jdm one running better than the usdm one?
