B16A B16A2
no difference in horsepower. probably no difference in torque. they are the same compression and maybe a slightly different cam, i'm not really sure on the cam.
jdm b16a from an sir2 (the eg6 motor) does have higher compression (10.4 compared to 10.2) and is rated at 170 horse but i'm not sure of the torque. before i was refering to the sir1/xsi motor (obd0) which is rated at 160

b16a3 is the del sol vtec motor. it makes 160. all usdm b16's make 160. the sir2 or "second gen" b16 (basically all jdm obd1 b16's) are rated at 170 and all pre-obd jdm b16's are 160

and i think the cams are a lil more aggressive in the b16a2, vtec hits harder and is louder...

there are 2 types of b16's not including the ctr (b16b)
There is the first gen kdm b16a which has 160hp and 111 tq just like all the usda b16's (b16a, b16a2, a3)
and theres the jdm second gen b16a which reads b16a just like the first gen
this one has 170hp, higher compression better im
the only differance between the usdm b16's and the first gen jdm b16 is that the jdm first gen b16 has really small LMA which suk.
all jdm bseris vtec motors also has a oil cooler

160 hp and 117lbs tq with measly low compression wish they came stock with bumped up compression oh well <shrugs>

Changing the pistons would be the sure way to get the compression you want. many people go with p30 pistons ...good way to bump the compression yet its still at a safe number...
