Default Cat Converter took a ****.

for some reason unknow to me the inside of my cat got torn apart so now it rattles like crazy. ive heared that u can gut the inside of the cat by getting a metal pole and banging the **** out of the inside. is this true? if any one knows how to solve this problem, or has another stock cat or test pipe located in socal not to far from 760 area code please pm me thanks.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by neutron91 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">yeah just take it off and gut the insides out... say hello to free flowing exhaust </TD></TR></TABLE>
and to a horrible sound. Just get a test pipe in there. cause if you ust gut out the cat then the diameter of the pipeing takes like 3 changes, so thats not exactly "Free Flowing".

it dosent matter. Example. if you have a 3 in collector, and your cat's inner Diameter is 1 3/4 in. And yuor cat back is 2.5 inch, how is that free flowing. the speed of the exhuast coming out of the motor, and through the header is reduced once it hits the cat, thus creating alot back pressure. And although you have a 2.5 in cat back, the speed is greatly reduced to where it would matter if you had a 6 in cat back.
