Swapped motor, won't start
Sup fellas.
I'm working on a 91 accord lx model.
The old motor went kaput so I dropped another f22a1
block in to replace the old one.
Everything is back in and hooked up as far as I know.
When I go to start the car all that happens is a clicking noise from
the map sensor and a clicking noise from the PAIR.
(the little black pulse air intake box by the battery)
There is a vacuum line that goes from this to the map sensor.
I've checked all of my electrical connections as well as the vacuum lines
and everything looks intact.
Do you guys have any idea on what could be causing it not to crank?
Thx 4 the help, Chris

if it does not crank i would chk battery connections, make sure starter solenoid wire is connected .........if it ctranks but no start chk if it is fuel or spark related

It doesn't crank or start.
We tried giving power directly to the starter and it still wouldn't crank.

No, I haven't tried that yet, that's a good idea though
It kind of just has me stumped why the map sensor and the PAIR box
are clicking though. Do they always do that when you go to start your motor
Keep em coming fellas

Firewall, yes
thermostat, yes
transmission, yes.
drivers side motor mount to valve cover, yes
behind the engine?, can you specify where that one is?
I don't recall a ground coming off of the wiring harness behind the engine.

you mean you had a wire from battery posit cable to starter solenoid and still no crank???? well if that is the case you got a bad starter,

This is a 91 lx model f22a1 motor.
So I guess that's a 4th gen right?
I'm gonna check the starter today.
update: I pulled the starter today and tested it, it's working fine.
I cleaned the terminals up and I have a good connection to the starter.
any other suggestions?

starter fuse blown?
if you bench tested the starter & it's good there is probably a problem somewhere in the circuit. get the multimeter out.

I checked the starter signal fuse under the dash and it was good.
