Not that I'm aware of . Just curious what reason you are needing an aftermarket?

Better cooling, heard of y8's having oiling issues.

What kind of oil temps are you hitting currently?

I want the extra insurance for my new setup. Extra quarts to aid in the increased hp.

So I take it, that you do not have an oil temp gauge.

If you cared at all about your oiling system that would be the first thing to add, along with an oil pressure gauge.

Also, rather than trying to increase capacity to increase cooling, I'd recommend an oil cooler.

IIRC the oiling issues with the Y8 don't have much to do with heat, but lack of flow.

The only oil related problems I heard of on the y8 is that the oil pump isn't very efficient and might cause oil starvation. I have never heard of oil cooling problems on them.

^^ Thank you both for the clarification, is there anything that can be improved with the y8 oil pumps?

Wow, this thread blows. Just some pointers:

-Moroso makes one - fitment sucks and you need a moroso pick-up.

-OBX makes one, but with the same problems as Moroso because it's a clone.

-y8 oil pans were made with cooling in mind, that's why they're aluminum whereas the y7 pans are steel.

-The only problem with y8's is that the oil pump gears shatter as a result of engine harmonics at high RPMs. You could spend big $$ to get stronger gears, but the money is better spent on a fluidamper and the problem is solved.

-Higher oil capacity won't help you anyway - I'm pretty sure your temps are low, but if they're not, get a cooler. And change your oil more often. If you do that then there's no reason to spend the rediculous amount of money that Moroso wants for their pans.
