My question to Honda-Tech is this, what kind of gas mileage loss did you get from modifying your Civics?

 

I went from ~35 mpg to ~28 mpg when I swapped a B16A2 in place of the D16Y7. Not to mention I bumped from 87 to 91 octane lol

i stayed the same but all i have is a cai and catback

 

I get 31 mpg on a crvtec turbo with ls tranny with 91 octane on 95 civic coupe

 

Of the three motors I'd had in my car the gas mileage has gone down down down.

D16Y7 ~ Great mileage...I'd say 32 MPG in city easily.
B18B ~ Noticed that it went down a bit overall....no real clue on MPG.
B16B ~ Gas guzzler when I am "on cam".....sips when I am off.


Sadly I seem to spen alot of time in Vtec. Guess thats what I get for swapping my motor. I'd say I get 26-27 MPG overall.

 

alright, thanks for replies everyone. I've begun looking into a Honda Civic for my next car. I'm aiming for a mix between decent gas mileage (gas is rediculous these days) and a fun car to drive. Thanks again!

 

Could anyone tell me what a stock D15 Civic gets?
