launching with slicks(did search)
hey i was just wondering how you guys launch your R with slicks....i just got in my yokohamas and I'm going to the track on friday....so my question what is the best way to launch with slicks? rev it to what rpm and dump the clutch...or feather it out like it was on street tires?
thanks in advance

DO A SEARCH!!!!
just joking
, I would launch at like 2500rpms and feather the clutch till like 5500rpms, then let the clutch go at VTEC, and that should work, or at least it does on stock tires

yeah sorry i should of been more clear...they arent full blown slicks...they are used for autox and drag....i got them so i can just throw on the wheels at my house and roll over to the drag strip without having to chnage them there...so youd say around 4500...ill give that a try and see how it goes....thanks
actually if you launch too low you're more likely to break something. when you launch high there will be more wheel spin, and less destructive load on the drive train.
Just start easy and build up till ya feel comfortable, me i might start off at 3500/4000 and see what happens if ya running stock with just semi slicks...
