Default B18C1 into a Del Sol Help.

I have read through many searches and got most of the information I need but I still have a couple of questions that I need some help on. This is my first swap so I appreciate any and all the help I can get. The car is a 93 Del Sol Si with a D16Z6 the motor is a OBD1 B18C1.

Shift Linkage: I have read that I have to have the Del Sol Vtec Shift Linkage to make it work. I have also read that you can use the GSR's I have even heard that my exisiting shift linkage will work (although I doubt that). Can anyone give me a firm answer on this?

Axles: Once again I read and hear both that I need to use Del Sol Vtec Axles and that I can use GSR axles. Which one do I use for sure?

I have all the other info on wiring and everything via search. But if someone has a link to a tutorial on somebodies Del Sol B18C1 swap project I would greatly appreciate it. Or if there are any tips or what I should look out for on this paticular project. Thanks in advance to all of those who will try and help once again I appreciate it!!

Use everything that you can from the 94-95 Honda Del Sol VTEC (dohc) model.

The axles, shift linkage from the 94-95 Honda Del Sol VTEC (dohc) is what you want to use.

The only linkage that will work is the B16 del sol linkage.

Any b series hydro axles will work.

All you have to do is plug the gsr engine harness into the del sol cabin harness and switch the red wire on the ecu side of the harness from A20 to A17 for your secondaries.

You will need the P54 Del sol ac bracket if you want to keep your ac.

when you remove the center console in the sol, you can see the ridge that runs front to back. The gsr (or b series civic) does not have that, and is the reason why you need del sol vtec linkage. anything limited to the engine bay only will be the same.

Thanks everyone that helps out a ton!! Now my only problem is finding the linkage. There isnt a single one on ebay. I know they are not easy to come buy does anyone have a link to a store where I can purchase them. Or should I get them fabricated? A guy in town says he can fabricate me a set for $120.

dwnthehatch, I read that I had to wire 2 points on the ECU both the A20 & the A17 A20 for the EVAP Purge and the A17 for the IAB am I wrong on this can I just do the switch and have it work fine?

Once again thanks everyone without the help I would be screwed!!

I just switched A20 to A17 on my gsr swap. No problems ever.

For the linkage, You need 13 and 14. You will also need 17, 22, and 18 unless you have them from the gsr linkage. You can user the rest of the parts from your existing linkage. Buy some energy suspension bushings while you are at it. They are less than $10.

You can also get them at http://www.buypartsdirect.com for cheaper.

Thanks, yeah buying all those seperatly is going to be a little bit more than just buying 13 which would have made me happy!

Yeah I will do the switch on the A20 to A17 I have read 2 different things but if it worked for you first hand I will go with that!

Thanks for the link!
