Gsr crank into a b18b ls?
why would u wanna de stroke the motor?? i don't quite understand the purpose of that.. But the crank wil work in the block but u should use GSR rods and pistons the Ls one s won't work
Well my main reason of thinking was the gsr crank revs higher.....stock ls crank 7200rpm max, gsr crank around 8500-9k ?
If im doing a b16 vtec head i need a crank that can withstand the higher rpm...should i do a complete gsr bottom? I already have a b18b with forged pistons/conrods.

if u have rods with arp bolts u should be able to rev as high as a gsr, if ur worried about it it wouldn't cost much to have ur cranked balenced to rec higher , but with arp rod bolts u should be ok
why would you do such a complicated job for how little you are going to get. You say you are putting a gsr crank in a ls bottom end and then slapping a b16 head on it? why dont you sell that ls motor and buy a gsr motor that is reliable and not put together like frankenstein. it will have more torque and better hp plus you will have the gsr intake manifold with dual stage vtec. call japan direct 1-919-781-7314 to get a jdm gsr swap for around 3500.

then go with what you have... installing ARP rod, main, head bolts will make the engine take more revvs... that's what I'm working on.. stock B20B w/stock B16A head w/ARP rod, head bolts.. plus turbo...
good luck

The crank in the ls is waay tougher than it needs to be, in the b18b block - thats not the weakness.
The weakness comes in the fact that the ls has no block girdle to keep things held together. Once you put one of those on, it will sing happily as high as any b16
