Nah, 2 1/4 inch is fine... why are you getting exhaust? If you plan on upgrading more later, then don't even begin to worry about 2 1/4 inch, you could go bigger.

Thermal is fine if you want to wake up the dead.

you can have thermal install a Stealth Baffel which they install for free upon ordering. the baffel is installed into the muffler and reduces exhaust noise by about 5dbs.

like most exhausts they are quiet below 4000rpms but one your WOT they get nice and loud...thermal is no different.

<~~ i have a thermal exhaust i love it.

Just keep in mind that with a baffle on a loud exhaust, you will lose power. It is better to get an exhaust (like Greddy) that is quiet without a baffle.

Thermal R&D claims that there baffel does NOT harm performance according to their testing.

call them to confirm that information.

there is three exhausts i would purchase and thats rs*r ex-mag, APEXi world sport, and thremal classic....i am leaning towards rs*r because it is quieter but thermal still sounds good on a crx...i have a friend who has it and i love the tone of it.
