Rust/Water build up in the trunk.. What/How do i fix this..
The water is most likely coming through your tail lights. This is due to old/worn out or bad seals. You'll need to replace the gaskets.
There are some cheaper ways to fix it though.
Try soaking the gaskets in warm soapy water for 15-20 minutes and let them dry. Other members on here have recommended that, so mine as well give it a try first.

also check the sunroof tube that goes down towards the rear by the tailights and exits out side. you can test it by puring water down the sunroof gutters. water should leak out the rear bumper.
mine was all clogged. and caused rust.
if its just water only it has to be the tailights.
if its rusty water , most likely its the sunroof drains.

I have the same problem. Or i did.
I replaced my taillight gasgets. 36€uros per each. Pretty expensive. But they were totally worn.
And i have the sunroof tube clogged also. But i dont know where is the hole in the sunroof "base". There is two in the front corners, but does the tube witch come to tailight area from rear side of the sunroof?
And how did you clean it up?

if you drill a hole in the lowest point where the water is sitting then it will drain and prevent rusting. a small hole will do the trick i did it to mine and havn't had water in the back every since.

Wont it rust around the hole then slowly spread then?

i just pulled my taillights yesterday to install an OEM bumper. my gaskets are hit i know i need to get new ones...
the drain tubes are located on both sides of the car. when you pull the plastics off to reach the tail light bolts you can see the tubes in the corner. when i pulled my tubes out they were filled with goo and gunk...also blocking about 4 inches of water on both sides. once i pulled the plug... water went everywhere....SUCKED!
anyways if you want to clean out the rest of the tube the ends come out on the left and right side of the bumper... you'll need to remove the bumper to clean the ends. i'm sure you could take a pipe cleaner and use it on the inside to get the gunk pushed out without removing the bumper.
