Default car vibration and trans question?

ok Ive been reading the posts and it seems like this happens alot but this is kinda wierd, ok lets start, I got the car about 2-3 weeks ago its a 93 accord se it has 192kms on it, I changed the air filter, oil, spark plugs, I got the tranny fluid changed at the dealer, and I cleaned the throttle body yesterday. ok when I got the car saftied an e-tested the car has a brand new exaust exept the cat. the exasut gasket was leaking and the muffler wasnt sealed right and my mechanic said the car was running really rich the muffler pipe was black, so anyways he fixed it and reslead it and I drove it for an hour then got it etested and it passed just barley, I only got 400k on a full tank I just went through my second tank and got about 480k. when you start the car it idles at like 1500rpm for about 5 min then goes to 1000rpm then goes to like 750, is that normal? the car doesnt vibrate when its in park or nuetral and it reves fine, as soon as you put it in gear the car vibrates and it goes into gear hard sometimes, somtimes you can barely tell its going into gear?? somtimes the tranny shifts hard and jerks when you take your foot off the gas when it upshifts. then I use the car later and you cant even feel the car shifting?? and it doesnt vibrate??? why the hell is it doign that? then engine mouts seem fine, I was thinking or disconnecting the bat to reset the comp maybe, maybe the o2 sencer is fooked?

your experience starting the car is normal...usually on cold starts the ecu tells the motor to idle high so that it warms up faster...as soon as the engine starts to warm up (the computer sees a certain coolant temperature) then it backs the rpm's back down to your regular idle...

i'm not real sure about the conversion between miles and kilometers, but a stock accord in the states can normally get between 300-400 miles/tank (completely depending on the driver)...if your car is running rich, the o2 sensor is the first place to start...you may want to have an exhaust shop remove it and clean it before investing in a new one however as they are expensive to replace...

the o2 sensor is not the reason that your car is shaking though...as you stated before, the engine idles and runs smoothly when in park or neutral...the vibration only occurs when the car is in gear, meaning that you may have a transmission problem...accord automatic transmissions are not known to be very reliable, and yours may be on its way out...does the hard shifting only occur in between certain gears, or all of them...keep this in mind next time you are driving (there are 4 gears total + overdrive)...

good luck getting your car fixed...

uhh well it does it in all gears and it shifts alot harder when you accelerate slowly then if you give it some gas like make it shift at 3500 it shifts almost to the point were you cant tell, the mechanic I took it to when I got it safteyed said it was fine and normal for those cars, but im still paranoid, and I have no money to start spending on it, its gonan take to 2 years to pay the damn car off
