Default B20 swap time...

I've been doing quite a bit of research on the swap, and I've found everything I need except for a few details.

I've heard that the B20 head is quite weak... Is a stock B18B Head any better? I'm planning to put a GSR Head on after I get everything squared away, but for now I'm just looking for a little bit more upper end power.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

B20 head is almost the same as B18B head, just has larger chamber to accomodate the bore. A B18 head would raise compression just a bit but not worth it IMO. Just run as-is till you can get the VTEC head

OR...

Find a P8R B20 head, it has VTEC sized valves and I think larger ports like VTEC heads. Awesome start for an all-motor nonVTEC buildup for your B20. Seen one for like $250 a few weeks back on H-T.

Hmmm... I think I'd rather just wait until I can go VTEC. I was just asking because we have a B18B head just laying around.

Thanks for the information though,
