bolt head broke off....help!
well, last night i was installing my Tein S-Tech's on my EK, got the front done, then went to go take the back struts off. when i went to take the bottom mounting bolt off, the head broke off. i was so pissed i just decided to just call it a night and look at it later. well, this morning i went out there and tried to get the bolt out with no luck. i took a die grinder to the strut and got it off, but the bolt is still stuck in the little bushing on the bottom arm. anyone have an advice as to how to get it out. it is rusted in there pretty good, and i have no idea how i should attempt to get it out. do i need to buy a new lower arm? the thing that scares me is that the other side wont come apart either. i have a feeling that it is going to do the same thing. anyways, any help and or input would be appreciated.
another question...is it possible to replace that bushing that is the lower arm? i really dont want to have to replace the whole arm. please help....
Try pb blaster + torch on it, repeatedly. Of course, wait until the assembly has cooled down before wrenching at it, after torching. It should loosen that seized bolt up. A pair of locking pliers might help as well. If not, new lca's might be in order.

is it possible to press out the old bushing while still on the car, because i ran into another problem. the bolts holding the lower arm on are siezed up too.
i tried the PB blaster and torch before i even got on here, and it didnt help. im hoping that i dont have to pull the whole assembly off.
what is the best way to press out the old bushing?
im thinking i may just have to pull the whole rear suspension off, take it somewhere, and have them press in all new bushings, but i really dont want to have to do that.
thanks everyone for your help!

sounds like a plan.

is there any trick to getting those bushings out? im just going to do it myself. im sure i could get the bolt out, but i would rather press in new bushings.
take it to a shop with a hydraulic press.
if you really insist on doing it yourself, you can rent the "balljoint press" toolkit from autozone. its a bigass c clamp.
ive only been successful for 1 out of 6 bushings when i tried with it. i ended up torching the rubber off because i got so frustrated using that tool.

The cheapest, easiest solution is new LCA. This is a known problem with the Honda rear suspension design. Over time the metal to metal bearing (which is really just a bolt in a tube) rusts solid. You can remove the LCA, burn out the bushing and have a new one pressed in but its easier and cheaper to get new aftermarket LCAs

i cant get the LCA off. i dont really feel like breaking the bolts on it also, so im just going to try and get the bushing out with a gear puller, and if that doesnt work i have a home made tool that will do the trick. does it matter which way i drive it out?
(i also have an air chisel and acetelyne(spelling?) torch. i might just get a low heat flame going and burn the damn thing out.) im going to tackle the project tomorrow morning.

To take out the old bushing just burn the rubber a bit until you can rip the inner sleeve out with some vice-grips (grab on tight and twist). Then take a metal saw and cut through the remaining rubber and then the outer sleeve. Take a punch and curl up the outer sleeve towards the center. Then hit with a hammer and it should come right out.
