after installing new front speakers windows wont go up, need help ASAP
i just installed new front speakers on my 94 LX. after i got everything back on i drove to my destination and when i got back home i tried to role the windows up and the only one that would go up is the drivers side. i tried to use the other switches and i checked the connections and fuses, but i found nothing. i just finished bagging up my windows with black trash bags, should be fun to try to drive to work tomorrow morning. i need to get this fixed ASAP. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
when you installed them, did you have the windows down? if so you could have "pinched" the window in the down position.. i did that the last time i put speakers in my car... if this is what happend to you, you will need to take off your door panel and pul the speaker out a lil bit. make sure that your window goes up before you put ever thing back together.
thats not it because the drivers side will still go up and i had the rear left and passenger side down and now they just wont move at all. it doesnt even make a noise when i hit the button for either of them
i did check all the connections. and i checked the fuses under the hood for all the windows and they were all good. i plan on taking the panels off again today or tomorrow see what i can find out. a guy that is very good with hondas told me it might be my main window switch at the drivers door cause when it goes bad it will sometimes make it so some windows work and others dont.

if youre referring to the window lock, its not turned to off and besides even when thats engaged i would still be able to control the windows with the switch in the drivers side door.
I've done this to myself before, and it was the window lock, I had just gotten back from a 4 month deployment and thought my windows were jacked up somehow, after worrying about it for a day I realized the windows were locked, and I wasn't able to move them from the driver's panel, so I'd double check the lock if I were you.
try jumping the window motor...if it goes up or down...that means you need a new switch. the question is....which switch is bad...the main one or the passenger side? If the window won't go up or down when you jump it... it means you need a new motor.
i just remember something there is a single plug black wire which provides ground for the rt frt and both rear windows if it is unplugged window wont work remove the frt left panel and make sure it is plugged in ,,it gets plugged near the main plug for window switch again it is a single wire plug black wire
i figured out the problem....the windows were locked. i feel like a total idiot now, but this is the first car ive had with power windows and i always drove other cars and when the windows were locked you could still control them with the master switch. ive been ragged on a lot by my friends for what the solution was, but i thank everyone who tried to help.
Don't feel too bad, it happens. I get customers that turn the main switch off now and then. Or somehow engage the child locks on the rear door and then complain that the door won't open from the inside. Take the time to skim over your owners manual before you worry to much about a mysterious problem.
