To my understanding it's not really necessary unless you are making some pretty big power. Anyone else that can back me up on this, or am I just talking out of my ***?

Are you going to use it to cool the engine oil or the transmission fluid ? is the car an automatic ?

Engine oil coolers are nice but not necessary unless you're going with boost, screws or NOS. A good quality oil needs to maintain a certain temp to flow properly and protect metal, cooling oil below that temp will do more harm than good. 160HP won't stress your oil that much..

In automatic cars an oil cooler will help extend the live of the ATF and the transmission itself, you can't go wrong there.

my 2lb-ft.....wurd to ya ***** !

yeah unless you doing some big things with your engine, like producing hella horsepower, the oil cooling system is necessary.

no need for an oil cooler unless your road racing/autocrossing

High HP turbo cars could benefit from them though.

if you bought a stock car that needs an oil cooler, something is wrong...most people only use those for high HP jobs or towing.
