Default motor rebuilt.. how long ........

do you use ND oil?

i'm about to hit 500 miles on the motor. do i keep using the ND oil or do i switch to whatever oil i'm going to use?

@ 500 miles you should be ok to switch to synthetic, as long as your motor was properly tuned upon startup... (a/f ratio, timing, fuel pressure) to properly break-in a new motor would be to have it tuned on a dyno w/wideband, and run the motor hard, so that the piston rings will seat fast...

Pull all of your plugs and shine a flash light down into the cylinder. If you see oil on top of the pistons, do not switch yet. If they are dry, go ahead and switch to synthetic.
