it wont fit
the tb is like 4times smaller then a SI
so you need to either make a new adapter for it or make the TB surround bigger .Like cutting your stock intake tubing where it connects to the TB. and put the adapter that came with the intake over it

Or turn the screw on the pipe coupling thing more to clamp it down.

K cool. Thanks for correcting me. The guy doesn't need a CAI anyways, won't affect it much.

when i had my cx
I put a CAI on the stock engine and it seemed faster.

Just build it out of PVC piping, im sure you can find a pipe size that will work and you can always paint it, plus you'll have the satisfaction of creating something yuorself for your car
Yea...seriously you have a CX do not waste money on a cold air intake...if you are gonna throw it away like that just give it to me....haha...but seriously don't throw your money away man...
Agreed...I had a VX motor in my car in the past and it came with a short ram intake when I bought the car, I never knew the sound of intake until I got my B16...that's how worthless it is, you wont even hear the intake let alone gain power IMO

On my Z1, a SR intake was alot louder than the stock airbox. When that VTEC-E kicked in it was all hell on earth
. Its not a complete waste of money though . You can always use it if/when you swap a motor.
But no, a dx/si intake will not fit right. I ordered one for a DX, but the gasket was too big so I used a spare rubber gasket, cut it, wrapped it around the throttle body (to make the throttle body "thicker") and clamped that badboy on.

I did it and it had a good increase in power. The CX throttle body is 2.5 inches so you will have to get a converter, this is where i got my 3" to 2.5" transition hose.

Little bit expensive but worth it for fit.

the only way it'll fit is if you get a new adapter for a dx, vx, or cx. I do bleive AEM makes one but hell I would just get a v2 that's made for your car. No extra parts and it's a perfect fit.
A buddy of mine had a 2.5" aem sri on his cx with no problems using only what came with the sri. Just make sure you get piping that's 2.5" diameter.
