Just bought a 2001 Civic Coupe, and I'm looking to replace the air box and filter to increase performance and mpg. K&N only seems to sell replacement filters - they don't have air intake kits for the Civic.

Ideas? Alternatives?

 

i got one off of ebay, didnt fit, cut it to make it fit, (now pretty much ram air) seemed i lost power, better to do it right and go with cold air intake. i know AEM makes a pretty nice one. kinda pricy tho.

 

K&N makes an FIPK intake for that application

 

I have 01 ex with a Aem cold air that was 150 dollars at speed shop and took 30 min to self install. Easy instructions, good performance, and you can clean with filter kit instead of buying filters.

 

K&N makes an FIPK kit for it. Its expensive and doesn't do much. Honestly none of them do. I got the most out of the bunch that I tried by swapping an Integra airbox in place of the stock one. Sticking the filter in an enclosure has something to do with keeping the low end for sure (its a vaccum and air speed thing).
