Everyone says get the y8 (metal) head gasket. I have a 94 vtec head, i need a full head gasket kit. Will a full y8 kit work with my head or just the head gasket? Cause if it will all work it will make my life easier.

 

i dunno much about mini me, but im gonna compare it to LS/VTEC. i know your suppose to use the LS (bottom end) head gasket. hope that helps.

 

I'm not sure what comes with the full y8 gasket kit, but the y8 headgasket alone will work.

 

yeah i understand that but i need all the other gaskets too for the head job. and i know if i get the y7 kit ill have everything i need. I was wondering if any of the other y8 gaskets will work too, so i can just get all the gaskets in one kit,

 

hey dont worry i had the same ? as you,,,...... i am running a z6 head on my 91 crx si and i just went with the y8 head gasket. you can get the parts for really cheap at this honda online store.http://slhondaparts.com (he he he thank you egsleepercivic) but go there and get all the gaskets for the head that you are using. also like i said before go with the y8 head gasket it will better in the end............................... any other ? just ask

 

head gasket sets usually include, head, intake, exhaust, and valve seals....
