Possible to adjust automatic transmission shift points?
My friend has a 95' Civic EX with the 1.6 VTEC and his engine will rev to 7200RPM but every time he nails it, it'll only rev to 6200RPM and shift. It's an automatic transmission. Is it possible to get it to rev all the way to redline without buying anything?
well the vtec will kick in a 5500rpm and in like 1 second it'll shift...the engine pulls to full engine power i think at 6500+ .....yes, i know about dropping it into the gear...Isn't that hard on the tranny? I was wondering if there was something that you can do to just let it rev to redline...Or atleast to 7000rpm
I'm doing one right now, you're going to need A LOT of parts.
Manual Transmission
Clutch/Flywheel
Shift Linkage (for whatever motor you have).
Manual Starter
Hydraulic Lines
Clutch Resovir
Slave/Master Cylindar
Pedal Assembly
Shifter
Shift ****
Console Peice
Shift Boot
Manual ECU
There is probably more, but I'm tired. That's the jist of it though.
