type-r has a bigger valve/ they sound very chattery. imagine a really pissed off rattle snake with a can full of bb's on his tail

yea, my buddy runs one on his t66 powered mr2. its not hard to miss when he pops the hood (er, whatever it is, lol)
he was running 15psi and it sounded very chattery, like the spring was loose. I like it, but it does get annoying after awhile. he was running the soft spring and it was very turbo-xs like, slightest bit of positive pressure sounded like a spring rattling around.
I must say tho, the sound scares the **** out of ppl on the sidewalk

i'm on 9lbs of boost on my ls, I was told the greddy type R bov is for 300hp or more. I really need to know if this is true or not, because I want to be able to blowoff . .
if anybody has sounds clips of the greddy type r valve, that would be nice. . i only found type s clips

there are two springs available. soft and hard. i wouldnt run the hard one on less than 15 psi. if you get the soft spring you should be fine, just loosen the adjustment nut a little
somebody wants to trade my type s for his type r . . just trying to make my decision if i want to or not. .

ask him if he knows what spring it has in it. If you dont want to, tell me who it is. i have a brand new turbonetics raptor bov (identical to type-s but doesnt sound like a pissed off space bird)
