Default Exhaust Options?

I have a 2002 accord 4Dr, I wanted to know what my options are for either a muffler or full system. My budget is $200 and I wouldn't mine buying a used one either.

Well i can tell you right now that you cant buy a full cat-back system for $200 unless if its on ebay with no name brand exhaust. Get a magnaflow muffler and a hi-flow cat and it would be almost the same as a full exaust system because the diameter of the piping would still be the same. Or just look around in the classifieds for some used ones.....

Yea, cheapest would be get a good muffler and resonator and have a local shop do it. But youd get crush bent and not mandrel bent. The cheapest prices for a GOOD catback system are on performancepeddler.com for their Magnaflows.

style is a knockoff. LIke a fake Louis Vuitton purse vs a real one.

With a cheap exhaust system, you have to worry about the welds and the packing. The packing (fiberglass, steel wool, etc) that muffles the sound is of inferior quality and will soon deteriorate. Often, cheap systems come without a resonator, which also helps get rid of raspy tone. It's basically a cheap *** exhaust and youd get what you pay for...

So I guess the styles one are a POS...man there are so many options out there. I don't want to spend up to 400 for this car...
I was also thinking about universals mufflers alone...Like some Apex N1

Apexi N1 is alright if you want somewhat of a raspy tone. Something more towards magnaflow would sound better.

Ugh....Meineke mandrel bends their exhausts and all the shops around here ive ever gone to, do so as well

id do that, friend of mine bought an Apex'i N1 muffler and had a custom 2.25" piping made at Meineke for his Intrepid, sounded awesome, and was pretty damn "straight-thorugh"

But they can do it for much cheaper crush bent and he's going for price so he should be aware...

a REAL N1 is just under 200 alone......

your best bet is to just use a stock muffler with wider piping from a muffler shop

I got 2.5" mandrel bent tubing cat back and a magnaflow muffler installed for right around 200 bucks and it sounds great.

I think you just need to shop around at your local exhaust shops.

If I were you I would do a magnaflow universal exhaust and just have the piping welded on. It's a hell of a lot cheaper, last night I went on ebay and found a seller, performance peddler. They have the option to submit best offer and I got a magnaflow muffler for $110 instead of $130 and w/free shipping.

Just my 2 cents.

I have an Invidia and it costs a lot more but I like it a lot. Check out RaceInspired if you want one. I ordered mine there and they had great service and price. I like mine the only complaint I have is without the Silencer it is very very loud and after a while a loud exhaust starts getting annoying. It is good I just am not as much a fan of aftermarket exhausts on a 4 bangers as much as I used to be. I wish I could get the sound of a flowmaster on a 8 cyl on this thing. If I was going with an aftermarket exhaust though it would either be the Invidia or the Apexi N1 with custom piping?
