Majority of people will choose to tap it to oil filter sandwich ..
if you want absolute reading of your oil, tap it to oil pan..

I have heard people say oil pan oil temp will have 5-10 degrees C difference than in oil filter sandwich, I dont know. so last time my gauge shows me 134C i wonder if its really a 124C...

yeah i thought about tapping the pan but too much work. I only bought the damn thing because I misread and though ti was a pressure gauge, then didnt feel like sending th ebitch back. Havent been able to sell it, so I guess I can live with a 5-10 degree difference.

the exact one I have. That is all you need besides the sender for the gauge. If you buy a new gauge (or already bough tone) it should everything needed to plug into the sandwich. And the sandwich comes with everything needed to go between the oil filter and the block. And it also has screws to block off any unused ports.

Yes,I was tracking, its a good thing that Defi have a warning beep setups. I didnt realy pay much attention to the warning beep at 120C until going straight line to take a peep at it.. all I see is 130 degrees and up. so i kept my rpm below 6k for another 2 laps to get t down to 105 around.

for the sensors, i got the shop to do it for me, but i dont think its much trouble to DIY. just plug them and run the wires into the car from the hole beside the battery.
plug them to Link Control and just wire up electricity and the gauges..

Engines best operation temp = 90 C around, I think oil temp anywhere higher than 120 is consider high..over 130 is in the red zone..

I have done 142 once with POS HKS PRO NA Racing Oil.. oil pressure drop to minimum of 90kpa and warning beep keep telling me not enough oil press.

and then i start my car later on the same day and the day after..oil press hit skyrocket at 850-950kpa at cold start..need oilk change immediately.

well i know the shop and this is Taiwan not the States. i have no idea how much it will run you to get them installed by a shop, but it cost me total of 110 bucks to get them installed plus some DIY

I am running Mugen VT Pro at this moment, wont use them again, not very good. going back to Motul 300V after my 3000kms are done..

I tapped my pan for the turbo oil return, it's not that hard. drill hole, weld bung, thread the sensor into the bung.
