Mini Me Swap Question?Any Help Would Be Good

Default Mini Me Swap Question?Any Help Would Be Good

i have a 99 dx hatch with a d16y7 motor and im planning to put a d16y8 head and tranny. All i was wondering is should i stick with a head from a 99-00 or would it matter if i got a 96-98 head cosidering its obd2a? and would i run into any problems? any help would be great..thanks in advance

The only thing that really matters in terms of obd is the ecu.

Your stock engine harness won't plug into the ecu and function correctly.

Depends on what year the ex harness is from, 96-98 or 99-00. I'm also not sure about which other plugs on the harness is different when obd is question.

so aslong as i have the year of the ecu and harness the same everything should be ok right? and the year of the d16y8 head doesnt matter?
