so i did an ls-v swap and noticed my gsr water pump was leaking..so i took my old b16 one..now i want to know if there both the same..because they both say 22t on them ive heard they are diff...but i counted both and they both have 22 teeth
and also it says 22t...someone back me up on this...

BTW i failed to mention that im having problems with the timing belt sittin correctly on the cam gears...

 

If you use a gsr water pump you have to use a gsr timing belt vice versa with the B16...

No you need to go back to a gsr water pump or get a b16 timing belt

 

but why is that..if both water pumps have 22 teeth and are the same? unless im wrong..but they do both say 22t

 

Dont know the technical reason why but I've experienced it first hand plus have been told by a few people plus if you're trying to put it on and it isnt lining up that should be a clear indication that their not the same.. Get the corresponding water pump or t-belt and I'm most positive it will work

 

can some one clarify this information becuz i have heard that they both are the same..and i have also head they are diff...autozone says the timing belt part number is the same for both...
