yeah, i've read some great stuff about the conditions of the motors coming from Hmotos. Just wondering if that was the going price for the second gen b16's. seems like a good deal considering it comes with everything, plus the 300 for the LSD. thanks for the backup

Good price. That's exactly what I got. The LSD is totally worth it, and Hmotors is a good company to deal with.

I think it is a much better 'bang for the buck' to build up an engine that you already have, or purchase a broken dohc vtec for cheap and rebuild it, or piece together an ls/vtec, something. I know this is more work, but jesus a $2,300 investment for a 1.6l 160hp changeover? 25, 30 hp over a z6 or y8 engine?ahh..no thanks.

turbo the single, build an ls block and wait for the head, something is my recommendation if you want some power. If you just want a 2,300 b16 however, there's nothing wrong with that i suppose.

good luck

i already have a comletely built sohc turbo, but i am going into some road racing/autocross. I dont want the turbo motor, and i would be happy with an NA dohc. i am really not going for power, obviously. I love the response that NA has. not to mention factory reliablity. The only question is either to buy the b16a or do the jdm d15b with all the goodies(4.9 final, OBX lsd, top end work etc.) I was debating to do this or go with the SIR II b16 with LSD. i cant choose the route. i figure in the end they will be around the same price. ps i am selling the built sohc ****/turbo stuff, locally (seattle)

That's a good deal. I bought the same motor from them last year and I paid $2800.00. H Motors is really reliable. Go for it.

Talk to Steve, very helpful and he will stop and listen to all your questions.

LSD stands for Limited Slip Diff, kinda like a posi unit for FWD.

My motor from HMotors came extremely clean with no problems. I have purchased two motors from them already. The tranny is great with no grinds and they also have a startup warranty. If you get the motor professionally installed and it has a problem when you first start it, they will warantee it. The quality and customer service is amazing.
