Why is the right air vent void of fake carbon fiber?

Just wondering if Honda frogot about it ,or is that vent just not worthy of simulated carbon fiber? Or is my car weird and all of you guys have it.
I wish the whole car was devoid of the gray plaid trim.
I didn't even realize they were trying to pass it off as carbon fiber. I figured it was cool to have gray plaid in your interior so I was planning to do my seats in a similar style of gray plaid.

oddly, i prefer the solid black of the 98s, but people always compliment me on that lame-*** trim...most say "i like the pattern", which i guess is better than liking it because it's wannabe CF. I've grown to like it as part of the car, and won't waste money changing it, but if it ever melts breaks or something it's outta there

That vent isn't fake C/F because it is the same color as the rest of the dash. I wondered about it too at first, but then I saw a DC2 with a tan interior, and that vent was tan while the others were the usual grey/black.
hmm nobody seems to have an answer for why the passenger vent doenst thave any cf? it is odd that they put it around everything except that one vent? i even asked about it when i was buying my R
I can't imagine there is an deep reason. Probably just a cost thing.
My car has no cheesy fake carbon fibre - I swapped it all out for standard black stuff with a (very willing) GS-R owner.
Hated the stuff. Putting real carbon fibre is a road car is ricey - fake stuff is beyond rice. Particularly inappropriate in a car like the Type-R. End of rant.

I doubt it is a cost thing other wise we would find other things missing like plastic here and there. Honda seriously can't be that cheap.

as gay as it sounds, that is the reason
The first thing I looked at when my two friends got their JDM R's over here was just that (the vent). Sure enough, on the passenger side vent there was no CF like the drivers side vent. I thought it was funny.
Do JDM cars come with the Faux CF? and if so, is the vent on the right side of the car CF, and the left not?
EDIT: Way to answer my question about .005 seconds before i wrote it

Guys, I have the answer for the initial question. (MHO)
I think it is a matter of design. Have you seen the other new sport cars with the silver or alluminum trimming around the cluster, driver vents and A/C and radio area? They tried to combine these accents with the color of the polished sport pedals and shift ****. I think the same apply with the fake C/F theme just around the driver's controls, even though, we have the rubber pedals. They thought just about the driver's point of view. I like it though.
Eric- Who wishes they did use real C/F for these accents...($$$ though)
