Sorry, this isn't a proper reply, but I have a better idea. If your friend is interested in paying a little more to add vtec to his engine, then he should go for it.

Find a B16A head in california, closest to LudeSPEED.com.
Send it to him, Tom Coleman, he will drill and "cut" the head to fit a B21A/B20A5.
He doesn't charge a lot at all! I would say with shipping and everything it will be about $250 - $350 more than just a stock head. Maybe less.

It's just a suggestion, but if he doesn't like the idea you can also try hondaprelude.com classifieds.

I think the 2.0 liter head is a bolt-up to the 2.1 liter block. The 2.0 has smaller combustion chambers, thus more compression. Just a thought, not sure it will work.

if you want a 2.0 head, which will bolt right up and actually works better than the 2.1 liter head, i have one that i will sell you. you will need to take the valves out and use the ones from your 2.1, but those will fit as well. if you want the cams and bearings and everything (except valve cover) you can buy those too. make me an offer for what you want and i will let you know.
