Greddy TT Problem
Well I installed this thing last night. I drove the car for 2 hours back and forth to work, and around town just messin with it's features. Nothing was going wrong until today. I was heading the car wash and all the sudden my radio turns off.
I was 100% sure what it was. When I was installing the timer I mounted it below my deck, and was back under where all my deck wiring is as I was running the TT wiring. I saw a very slim power wire off my deck harness that had been twist tied by me for my gauge lightes. I re-did this connection, this time with solder and didn't half *** anything. I checked the deck harness and everything looked perfect, no marks on the wires from rubbing, and no bare wires showing.
I went to test the deck and it worked. So I went back to playing with the TT to see if I could duplicate my previous problem. I couldn't get it to happen again so I thought problem solved. As I was cleaning up the deck turned off again, then came back on and then turned off again, this time for good. I turned the key to the ACC position, not the ON and the deck came on for good. I rapidly started going back and forth from ACC and ON, and intermittently the deck was turning off ONLY when I switched to the ON position, which is where the TT starts up.
I have douple checked my connections, both TT and deck. The only thing I can think of is to switch the ground somewhere else. I am using my ground as a double for my alarm and TT.

Hard to say what the problem is, other then it must have something to do with the turbo timer install.
You should not be using any of the wiring for the HU, [oem radio harness] for anything other then the HU, and although you can ground to the same place, you should never "share" a ground. I would recheck the wiring.
Did I not just answer this at g2ic?

Replied on G2IC. I posted this at the same time to get a little more feedback since I figured this was a really akward problem and not so strictly G2 limited.
