Default Clutch acting up...

Hey folks - i've noticed a prolem with my clutch (Act HDSS and fidanza 8pound fly) for a few months, however lacked the words to descrie it- too weird..

So, finally can now..

ever tried to start the car in third instead of first on accident? You keep giving it gas and letting the clutch out hoping it catches, then when you realize it feels god awful you look down to see you're in the wrong gear. Hopefully an uncommon occurance for most of us, however it seems to happen to me sometimes in FIRST gear?!

Ill sit at a light, stopsign, whatever on a hill or no hill..and as i try to release the clutch it wont catch. I keep gassing and releasing the clutch more and more until it finally catches all of the sudden and jerkily takes off. What in the world.. it makes riding the clutch a little to come up closer to someone near impossile....

fyi my /3 key isnt working on my keyoard lol.. ut please post up some suggestions if anyones experienced such.

Also my clutch is very squeaky/creaky.. can hear it mainly with my windows down ut i notice people looking at my car like its a rustucket when they hear it creaking right efore i turn it on in a parking lot hah

Thanks for any suggestions--

It sounds like maybe your slave or the fork (slave to the throwout bearing) is sticking. I'd suggest having a look at those components see how they are operating and grease them up. It may be possible that some of the teeth on your pressure plate are broken or wearing out and that's why it's not springing out/engaging like it should be.

Edit:

Where's your advice Homesauce? Rag on Naptown for not providing anything beneficial, then you do the same.

2lude4u may have hit it. Where the slave cylinder pushes on the fork, if it is dry, it may be sticking. That is suppose to have a little grease or something there so it doesn't stick. Just a guess, but I would check that.

Im sorry, I got sick of reading response after response of worthless posts. And BTW, I never post unless I have something I think is useful to say, so this is the first time, so kill me.

No worries. I must admit that naptownking has been posting a lot of worthless stuff (trying to get his post count up I guess). Just thought if you're going to diss him for not being helpful, you should be informative while you're at it.

Let us all know how things turn out psilo.
