How do remove the rear deck in my 97 civic ex coupe to install 6x9s?
i havent done this in years.. but if i recall correctly. you have to take off the side pieces.. i think there is a bolt by the seat.. and then the rest is clips.. then you can undo the rear shelf.. open the trunk.. or fold down the seats and look at all the white plastic expanding clips.. their the kind that expand once you push them through the holes on the shelf i think.. then you release all those clips..
someone correct me if im wrong.. as i havent done an install on a G6 since 1997...

1. Fold down both sections of rear seat. UN-bolt all 6 gold colored bolts (10 mm) that secure seat to brackets.
2. Remove side brackets (2-12 mm bolts)
3. remove 1-10mm bolt that secures seat bottom. Unclip front clips and remove.
4. Extract 1-philips screw from each lower portion of side panel.
5. Using panel popper to aide in removal, take out both side panels.
6. Now carefully remove rear deck cover without breaking white pressure clips.
7. There u have it in 20 min or less.
