Default Recommend me a turbo please...

I am in the process of piecing together a turbo kit for crx. Its an '85 crx w/b16. Very, very light car.

My goals are only about 250-270whp max.

More importantly, Id like to have a really nice, flat torque curve. I want to see boost very early and hold my desired power to redline.

So far Ive looked at the garrett t3/t4 50 trim with 48 or 63a/r? Is this a good choice? Im guessing most will recommned the 63a/r over the 48, but is the 50trim the perfect size for my goals? Any other turbos i should consider?

You dont think that a $750 turbo is overkill for my goals?

I would recommend the 57 trim for the T3/T4 because it's a pretty well balance turbo that will meet your goal and will be able to exceed it if need be.

0.63 A/R > 0.48 A/R

I don't think this is overkill at all! Just expensive...

A .63 A/R is too large for your goals, they are easily achievable with a .48 A/R.

And dont feel the need to jump on the GT series bandwagon.

Yup 50 trim would work great and i'd get .48ar if thats your only power goal. But if you ever plan on going over 300whp i'd get .63ar.
