type r ecu in gsr
Can I plug and play a obd2 jdm type r ecu in my obd2 gsr. I have a skunk2 intake manifold so I don't need the second intake runners to switch on since I don't have them or is there a better option thanks
All you did was plug it in. I thought I read somewhere it might not match up because the pins would be in diffrent spots but I thought I would ask here to make sure.
I found one that is a 96-98 and I have a 96 gsr that should work right and its jdm I know what jdm is but will the pins be in diffrent spots because it is jdm

if you have a 96 integra, you'll need to find a obd2A ITR ecu 96-99. The 00-01 ITR/GSR have an immobilizer in the ecu and will not plug into your stock 96 harness unless you run a obd2A-obd2B conversion harness. What would be ideal is getting a 98 ITR ecu. I believe my friend is selling one. PM me if you want more details.

Maybe 2-3 WHP over stock.
The ITR ECU isn't what makes the power. The port and polish, better cams, pistons, head design, and intake manifold are what make the power.
Build your head and you'll see much better gains than the ITR ECU.

ITR ecu is ok...but if you have an extra cash, id just get a P28 from IH8RICERZ...its a lot different from a stock ITR ecu...and the timing is more aggressive...im not sayin the ITR ecu is a bad choice but id save more cash and get a P28...
