Identifying year of ITR ecu

any numbers or marks on the ecu itself to identify it?

Why would it matter? I'm pretty sure all USDM ITR ECUs are the same OBD2 program.

Identify by the plug ends only.

97-98 is OBD2 00-01 is OBD2.2

R ECU is P73. So P73 in the part #, and the plug type will tell you 97-98 or 00-01.
