At cold idle, revs climb up and down until warmed up
Hey guys,
I have a question.... Everytime I start the car up when it's cold at idle, the rpm initially starts at 2,000 (Ok..normal) but then goes down to 1,500 then goes back up to 2,000. It does this until the car is warmed up, then the the idle eventually goes down to the normal 700-900. After the car has been warmed up it doesn't do it anymore throughout the rest of the day. That is as long as the car is still warm. If it's cold it will do it again. What could be causing this? My idle settings?
Yeah.. I'd just like to find out the problem before I slap on an exhaust and header.. I can imagine the neighbors waking up in the morning getting pissed off when they hear my car revving for 1-2 minutes.
