Hey, i know this is supposed to be normal.. but i have a question
when i start the car after its been sitting for a while, it idles up to ~1900, and then when its warm goes back to normal.. but it only started doing this about 1-2 weeks ago, so why would it just start doing it like that if its normal??

I think this is normal. Mine jumps to about 1800 rpm at ignition, but gradually goes down to normal within 5-10 seconds. I find this to happen when I don't drive it the day before or it's kind of cold in the morning.

 

what did it do before?? I have no idea why it would just start doing it..

My car starts like that all the time when its been sitting for a while or cold...then like yours, when it warms up the idle goes to normal...

 

Don't worry about cold startup idle. My teg is all over the place 1.5-2.5k normally. My LS would hit almost 3 on really cold days.

 

Thanks, it has been colder recently but not that significant.. but b4 it would jump to 1100 and idle down , now it goes up to almost 2k and goes down gradually.. as long as its not a problem, im happy, thanks again
