i'm selling my motor cause i want to get a h22...right now i got a 96 type r tranny with lsd and i wanna get a 22 with a lsd tranny...but i always read about atts...is this the preludes version of lsd or is a diff for a 22 an actually diff like the b series??i'm buyin the motor from hmotorsonline

 

NO, ATTS IS NOT THE SAME AS A LSD!!!!!
the <U>Active Torque Transfer System</U> is designed to turn the outside wheel faster than the inside during turns. This is to improve handling (prevent understeer). Good system but shuts off after a certain power level...plus it adds 300 lbs (type SH tranny)....there are pages after pages of information on this site...hit the magical button in the upper right hand corner of this page that says search...I wouldn't recomend the atts personally

the only h22's that come with atts trannies are type sh and type s motors. reuglar h22's come with a 5 speed w/ open diff. there's also the m2b4 tranny which is the JDM, h22, OEM LSD equipped tranny.

 

the 5th gen lude Type SH has 5 spd w/atts only, the base does not. The base model is available in 5spd w/ open diff. or a 4 speed auto. There is no lsd USDM prelude tranny. Both sh and base have the same H22A4 motor
