how do i time my non obd b16
well it could be 180 degrees out so make sure you you put the dizzy on right.
If that checks out ok then there is a green jumper by your passenger side floorboard you need to take a paper clip and jump it. Then loosen the 3 bolts that hold your dizzy on just enough that you can rotate the dizzy a little. Now hook up your timing light by placeing the 2 connectors on the battery and the other connector on the #1 Spark plug wire it is the lower wire closest to the firewall. Turn on your car and shoot the light down at the crank. You will see 3 dots really close together and 1 dot higher than the rest and on your lower timing belt cover ther is a little piece of plastic that looks like a pointer. If you want it to stock rotate the distributor until the pointer on the lower cover lines up with the middle of the 3 close dots. Tighten the bolts back down and recheck the timing to make sure the dizzy did not move. Remove the timing light and the jumper and your done. Take it for a spin and see how it runs. You can play with it a little to see what feels the best.
Anybody feel free to correct me or add something if I left anything out!
