Broken Knock Sensor
yes it will bring up a code. It detects knock in the engine. Its not absolutely necessary but i always liked having mine. Go to a auto shop and buy a new one and replace it.
as above stated - when the code comes - it's also pulling your timing, because most knocks/pings come from detonation or too advanced timing (respectively actually). your performance will be lackluster, your mileage will be dodgey... just buy a new one
