Default building a full race crx

im looking into getting an engine swap for my 1990 crx si. im thinking about b16a or b16b. if the engine compartment is fully stripped and i get a swap that includes LSD Tranny, ECU, axles with half shaft, stock shift linkage, stock motor mounts, alternator, starter, clutch, flywheel, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, fuel rail, injectors, distributor, engine harness. then what other parts am i going to need to have a running car (radiator, fuses, etc.)? thanks.

If you wanna run a hydro tranny, you'll wanna get a HASport mount kit, also you'll need to do some wiring, probably use a conversion harness, there are plenty of threads that already cover these subjects.

You will still have to buy an EF mount kit from hasport or the likes to make it bolt in to a usdm crx. You will have to get the right axles too. I think you need the integra axles.

yes you will need a radiator and fan, more than likely you will have to modify all the coolant lines to make those line up and fit right.

You will need your cars stock harness and modify that to fit. If it is an OBD1 engine, you will need to get a conversion harness for that too. Unless you are hardcore and want to hardwire about 75 wires or so. Good luck on that one.

You need a shift linkage that is custom for your car too. Hasport makes one.

Be prepared for bad parts on the engine too. You need to replace the following

Timing belt
Water pump
thermostat
dizzy cap and rotor (provided you don't need to get a new dizzy)
Spark Plugs
Wires
O2 sensor. 4 wire is needed for obd1. 1 wire for obd0
lets see what else
might want to get new vacuum hoses and some gaskets

If you CRX is a dx model, you need to convert it to MPFI from dpfi. use your harness it is the easiest way to do this.

... The list continues. I suggest searching a bit to figure out what else is needed. Everyone makes this out to sound so easy, and then noobs get pissed because there is alot of little stuff that most people forget to mention.

This kind of swap can go very easy, but you will want to make sure that you have everything ready to go so you do not have to make so many trips to the auto parts store of choice to get ****. Also, make sure you have a second car avaiable and/or plenty of time to do this... most of the time it will not happen in one night or even a weekend. There is always something stupid that happens to make you have to wait for the next day.

Good luck... and welcome to honda-tech.
