Default Oil spraying out of my blow off valve... rebuild time?

Yesterday I noticed that my BOV was really oily so I decided to keep an eye and it and see if the oil was actually coming out of it...

I also took off the first charge pipe after the turbo and it was pretty filled with oil.

Then I took off the downpipe and it was dry as a bone. Does this mean that just the seals are shot on the cold side of the turbo?

I checked the area around the BOV again when I got home last night and it appears that oil is actually being sprayed out of the valve when I shift.

So, I guess this means that my turbo needs rebuilt. Can I get just the compressor seals replaced? There is no shaft play at all. I don't want to spend $300 rebuilding this turbo after using it for only 6 months.

Should I be driving with it like this? Oil must be making it all the way up the charge pipes and into the intake manifold which I imagine is not a good thing at all.

One thing I hate about our honda engines is that they make too much oil pressure.
Just get a restrictor to help lower the psi.
Some people have the same problem but when they reduce the oil pressure the seals hold up fine again.
But if your seals are leaking even at low oil pressure your seals are gone. and time to replace.

I have an oil restrictor.

But even with the restrictor on there it is still leaking oil badly.

I took the charge pipes and intercooler off this morning, the intercooler had a TON of oil in it and the lower charge pipes were just dripping.

I'm going to have to either rebuild this turbo or go a different route.

turbo is dead no big deal just have it rebuilt. i have a few places that are certified by garrett as well as turbonetics for the rebuild if you need a recommendation on where to send it to.

The thing is, all the quotes I have heard are pretty expensive... the turbo doesn't need to be completely rebuilt, only the seals on the compressor are leaking, it has no shaft play or leakage on the turbine side.

I am debating whether or not to just get rid of this turbo and buy a different one.

I took the turbo, mani, FMIC, charge pipes, and everything else off and turned it back to NA

Man, NA sucks! I hope I can get this taken care of soon!

How much are your quotes for a rebuild?

I'd like to hear some more quotes, Phoenixturbo charges $299, which is more than I want to pay.

I don't think this turbo is even worth that much.
