Would a 96-98 EK's cupholder fit on a 99-00 EK?
If so, how would I go about doing it?

Yes it is very simple you just have to get a screw driver and start removing your center console until you get to the cupholder -- in which case you unscrew that also.

 

remove center console? where do i begin? how much of it do i have to take out? how many screws, approximately? thanks!

 

You will find out when you look at your cupholder and its surroundings (sides). Have a screwdriver prepared.

Yeah it's not that hard. Just look around. There's 2 screws to get the ebrake console off and then 4 screws to get the shifter/cup holder console off and then maybe another 4 that hold the actual cup holder piece onto the dash.

96-98 one is better anyway. It has that flip up/down lid to make everything look smooth. 99-00 is just 2 big ugly holes.

 

yes, i must say, my cupholder is pretty pimp

 

its easy unless someone ghetto rigged the old head unit under the dash so they could have keyless entry. i bought a 99-00 one new and cant use it anymore cuz of fitment issues
