i had an indash tv in my 98 ex and left it at a park and ride for work armed the alarm come back and its gone with the system still armed i opened the door and thought how they would have done it in broad daylight with an alarm blairing so i got out armed it unlocked the door manually and opened the door the siren chirped then started blairing so i shut the door and a few seconds later the alarm shut off is there anyway to make that **** keep blairing it is a directed type valet 554r any feedback is appreciated

you want it to go off longer? I Know the viper alarms have an option using the bitwriter to adjust the alarm time. the default is set to 30, but I don't know if you can with the unit you have

 

If there is no one around it won't matter what you put on the car. The alarm is only a deterent to keep thieves away and draw attention to them.

 

Were the doors still locked and the alarm still armed when you got back to the car, How did they get in? Was there a broken window, or pry marks some where on the car? If it was armed and the doors where locked, when you disarmed it, did the alarm tell you that it had been triggered, [3chirps on disarm and led flash back] or did you just forget to arm it? 94

 

they flexed the window out and the alarm was armed and chirped 4 times when i disarmed it telling me the doors were tampered with

all you have to do is take a screw driver and put it in the window and pry against it and the door opens right away without the alarm going off.
