Default Weird shift linkage in my EM1

Well, I went underneath my car today to look at my shift linkage since I am going to install my Skunk2 Short Shifter and my shift linkage is really weird. Isn't there supposed to be a bracket to hold the shift linkage on the tranny side? I bought the car with this on and the guy that had it before gave me the stock shift linkage. Can I still install the stock shift linkage?

Here are some pics:

Please, any help? I am really confused and really frustrated.

Well, I guess that's a good thing though. Must of been a brand new shift linkage then. I thought there was a bracket that holds the linkage on the tranny side? Or is that for EGs?...

no... any civic from 88-00 and integra from 90-01 are all the same design... the linkages themselves differ but the way they bolt up and all is the same

Actually it looks like the stock washer is missing from the assembly. Im sure your able to slide the stabilizer arm off without removing the bolt right? To fix this just place a washer big enough to hold it in place or I can send one your way. Just EMail me at kinghawk3y3@aol.com if interested.
