Default inspection failed-high NOX-

hello guys
well Im having the worst day
I go to nj dmv and as soon as I get in line the ******* iacv starts to rev by itself.
i thought I fixed it last week but its back.
of course I tried everything before They started but no luck.
well I got a 1458 standard is 1242
can the iacv be the possible problem ?
im gonna change the coolant since Im reading NOX maybe from high combustion temps.
thanks guys

Probably not your iacv or coolant. Could be exhaust recirculation, high engine bay temps, running lean, timing, an exhaust leak, or the cat but hopefully not.

I'd say since your numbers aren't that bad, try using the highest octane gas you can find and take the test on a cool day

alot of times the person doing the cat doesnt warm up the cat. before the smog try holding the rpm at about 3500 rpm for about 3-4 min. usually and this coming from a friend that works at a test only center, told me that a high nox is the cat not being warm.

well I took a long drive and drove it hard
to warm the cat up.but I was using 87 octane and can switch till 94 to make it rich.
oh yeah I also failed for a baseball size rust on the passenger rear fender.wtf they said it has sharp edge's but I know how to fix that.
