engine barely idles/runs
alright, we're working on a 1991 civic hatch DX, with a d15b2.
the car is barely idleing on its own, you have to constantly touch the gas, and it barely runs. the followng have been changed:
- cap
- rotor
- plugs
- wires
- coil/ignitor
- cleaned the EACV
- fuel filter
the plugs are very black now, so we know that the engine is running rich, there does not seem to be a miss in any of the ignition(checked with a timing light). It also seems to be getting both fuel and air, so we're stumped.
The car will start up and run, although right away it studders and wants to die unless you give it some gas. Also, if you hold the gas at a constant RPM, the engine seems to run very rough.
If anybody has any ideas on what to check, or what may be a problem, it would be very much appriciated
thanks

Is your car throwing any CELs? Replace the 02 with a good working one or a quality replacement and see what that does. Did it just start doing this all the sudden or did you do some mods and then it started giving you trouble?
O2 has already been replaced, and still have the same problem. The o2 code does come up from time to time, although after the o2 sensor was replaced we're still having the same problem and the code still comes up.
although right now, it is not throwing any CEL's

vacuum lines all seem to be hooked up correctly, and does not seem to be any leaks. I usually find that if there is a leak, it seems to idle really high, not low/stalling.

bump for the morning... we've really gotta figure this out...
we're gonna try changing the O2 sensor with a KNOWN good one and see if that makes any difference.
